I feel like accommodations in Bali have become really expensive no matter where you stay.

Rather than being cramped into a hotel, I chose Airbnb. If you want to experience Bali more closely and feel more free, I recommend Airbnb.

The accommodation in Nusa Dua, Bali, where I stayed with my family for 7 days was Airbnb. Spring Leaf ResidenceIt was a villa complex consisting of a single-family pool villa.

The Venice villa where my family and I stayed for seven days.

Introduction to the interior of the pool villa

The pool villa consists of three large areas. 1st floor pool villa swimming pool, 1st floor accommodation, 2nd floor accommodationIt is quite spacious, with an outdoor shower room right in front of the first floor pool and space behind the first floor tables.

The pool villa is privately surrounded by a high wall. Aside from the first and last hosts meeting to hand over the house and say goodbye, the rest of the stay was comfortable, with no human interaction.

1st floor swimming pool

• The pool size is large enough for 2-3 people to enjoy.
• There is another portable shower room outside, so you can shower comfortably.
• At approximately 1.2m, it is a suitable depth for children and adults to enjoy together.
• The structure is such that the inside cannot be seen from the outside, but the swimming pool can be seen from the inside of the first floor accommodation.

1st floor accommodation

• The bed is large
• It is convenient because it has a large closet.
• A desk for my son to study at while he prepares for his exams
• Since the surrounding area is so eco-friendly, there were quite a few ants that came out when I sprayed pesticide (it's okay if you don't spray pesticide).
• It's really quiet and you can order food via Grab (McDonald's, KFC, etc.)

2nd floor accommodation

• You can access the second floor via an internal staircase.
• Lying on the second floor terrace with a cool breeze blowing makes you feel like you're on vacation (it's hot during the day)
• Fun accommodation with lots of hidden spaces

Nusa Dua Airbnb Pool Villa Prices

I'm going to reveal the pricing information you're most curious about. I just checked other accommodation apps, and I found that hotels and resorts in other areas of Bali, including Nusa Dua, are really expensive.

3 people used this place and it cost 74,669 won for 7 nights, so the total cost was 522,683 won, including the weekly rate discount of -52,269 won and the service fee of 77,153 won. A total of 547,567 won was paidI did it.

It's been a little over a year since we used it in May 2024, but now the price has gone up a lot and it's become impossible to find accommodations at that price.

필자가 좋아하는 팬케익메뉴입니다. 캐러멜 라이징된 바나나의 맛이 매우 인상적이고 함께 첨가되는 식용꽃도 매우 발리스러웠습니다. 특별한 일정이 없는 오전에 늘 우리 가족은 피손에 와서 여유를 즐겼습니다.

발리의 많은 식당에는 베이커리를 판매하는 곳이 많이 있습니다. 그중에서도 피손은 다양하고 신선한 베이커리를 선택할 수 있는 장점이 있습니다.

베이커리 가격도 충분히 괜찮고 배가 부르다면 커피에 베이커리 하나 정도 시켜 놓고 피손의 분위기를 즐기는 것도 좋은 방법입니다.

아내와 필자가 매우 좋아했던 피손의 아이스라떼 커피입니다. 얼음이 우유로 되어 있어서 시간이 지나도 밍밍하지 않고 부드러우면서도 달콤한 커피의 맛을 즐길 수 있어서 만족감이 매우 높았어요.

Warungnia can be considered a local Balinese restaurant.

However, all the menu items are suitable for foreigners' tastes without any problems, and even those who are sensitive to food smells and have difficulty trying them can enjoy them without difficulty.

Like typical Balinese nasi goreng, it's not salty at all, but rather light, and even the snacks that always accompany it are delicious. If you're traveling in Bali, especially in the Kuta area, I highly recommend trying nasi goreng.

The mi goreng I ate in Bali was generally salty. However, Patchau's mi goreng is not salty, the noodles do not burst, and it is savory.The green onions on top are impressive. This is clearly a chef who knows his way around the dish.

Actually, I don't remember the taste of the chicken satay because my son ate it all.

Bali's Bintang Market is well known and famous, but since you can't know the specific pros and cons without going there yourself, I'll introduce the pros and cons of Bintang Market Seminyak branch, as well as my review, based on my own experience.

• The price is cheap

I lived in Bali for a month and visited most of the markets and shopping malls from Nusa Dua to Tegalalang in Ubud, and the prices were so cheap that I wondered, "Can you find a cheaper place than here?".

True to its name, Bintang beer prices are lower than those of any other local market. I also buy a lot of souvenirs for friends after my Bali trip, and even these are cheaper than bargaining at any other market.

Instead of wandering around multiple markets and wasting energy haggling over souvenirs, I think buying them at Bintang Market is the most reasonable and wisest option. The variety of souvenirs is also great.

Of course, it's not just about souvenirs, it's also a two-story store with coffee, daily necessities, honey, key rings, wooden dolls, fruits, and vegetables, so the items are too numerous to mention.

• Easy accessibility

Seminyak, where Bintang Market is located, is the center of Bali and is a place where many tourists visit every year due to its concentration of luxurious shops, hotels, and resorts.

So, before going to Ngurah Rai Airport, it is very convenient to stop by the nearby Seminyak Bintang Market to buy souvenirs.

The road in front of Bintang Market is a two-lane road that goes both ways. A place where traffic congestion occurs frequently because it is very narrow compared to the number of vehicles.So, it's good to always be aware of this advantage. (It's not something to worry about too much, as it doesn't feel like it's being pushed around in Korea.)

Ubud Art Market

 

This is a representative traditional market in Ubud. Located in the heart of Ubud, across from the Ubud Royal Palace, it's a popular destination for tourists visiting the palace.

When I visited Ubud Market on my honeymoon in 2010, it was just a typical traditional market, but in the meantime, the market burned down and was rebuilt into its current magnificent appearance.

A place that sells all the souvenirs and items you can think of from BaliHere, you'll find everything from fans and silverware to wooden dolls, handkerchiefs, wood carvings, bowls, and bracelets. The entire second floor of the two massive buildings is dedicated to souvenir shopping.

• The fun of bargaining

Since there are no set prices, you can negotiate prices. If you are good at bargaining, I recommend visiting the Ubud Art Market.

So if you are someone who doesn't like to haggle over prices and just pays what is quoted, A place where you can buy at a higher price than usualThat's it.

• Traditional market across the street

Across from the massive Ubud Art Market, there's an alleyway that still retains the atmosphere of the old Ubud Market. Naturally, tourists tend to flock to the market inside the large building, making for a very leisurely shopping experience.

Since there are relatively few floating populations and fewer tourists, you can buy souvenirs and other items at cheaper prices if you are good at bargaining.

✅ Things to keep in mind when visiting the Ubud Art Market

First, the bathroom is very dirty.

Because it's such a popular tourist destination, it's so dirty that Koreans often avoid using it. The poorly maintained restrooms are prone to foul odors and filth, making them unusable.

Be sure to use the hotel bathroom before your visit. (My wife went in to use it but just came out😱)

Second, it's very hot.

The Ubud Art Market is housed in a massive building, restored to its original traditional appearance, but it's completely open, with no doors. It's practically like being outdoors in the shade (though you'll sweat profusely even inside).

However, since there are so many people crowded together, you can see that even if you turn on the ceiling fan, you will sweat a lot.

Nusa Dua Bali Collection

 

Located a five-minute drive from Nusa Dua Beach, Bali Collection is a shopping paradise. Bali Collection is the place where you can find everything from traditional crafts to expensive products and luxury goods.no see.

5 Reasons You Should Never Go to Monkey Forest

If I were to ask this author, who is on his third trip to Bali, to pick his least favorite tourist attraction, it would be the Monkey Forest.

Here are five reasons why I don't like Monkey Forest and why I believe it's a must-visit tourist destination.

1. The danger of wild monkeys

 

This happened during my second business trip to Bali in 2018.

My job was as a production producer, so I was filming with the crew in Monkey Forest. A wild monkey tried to snatch the bag from a female cast member who was sitting still, but failed and bit her shoulder.

To protect the performer, the wild monkey was chased away, but the performer was injured in the shoulder and was surrounded by people. The Monkey Forest managers stopped me from chasing wild monkeys rather than injuring tourists.I did it.

Our performer was injured, but, Monkey Forest officials do not take any responsibility for the performer's injuries.

There are staff members at various locations in Monkey Forest to manage the wild monkeys. However, they are only responsible for the safety and facilities of the wild monkeys., It seemed like they had no intention of protecting tourists.

No matter how small, cute and amazing it is They are just wild monkeys after allYes, because they can turn into beasts at any time. Therefore, there's no reason to risk going to Monkey Forest.

2. Lost items

 

In front of the tourist entrance to Monkey Forest, there is a sign explaining several things to keep in mind in Monkey Forest. The warning is only for tourists. cautionno see.

• Don't panic
• Don't run
• Don't look a wild monkey in the eye.
• Don't hide any food
• Do not bring any kind of plastic or paper bags.
• Never touch, catch, or disturb wild monkeys.
• Do not give peanuts, cookies, candy, bread, any kind of sweets or any kind of snacks to wild monkeys.
• Take good care of your child

While touring the Monkey Forest, you'll often witness wild monkeys actually opening tourists' bags and stealing their belongings. Their forelimbs are similar to those of humans, allowing them to do just about anything.

It is also common for water bottles or drinks to be snatched from your hands, or for sunglasses or small bags to be taken away.

At the moment when things are stolen Even if the manager is there, it is absolutely wrong to expect them to take it back.If he witnessed the theft, there was nothing he could do but chase the wild monkey.

If you were to ask, "Should I risk meeting wild monkeys in the Monkey Forest and risk having my belongings (including those in my bag) stolen?", I would say, "Absolutely not.".

3. Difference in tourist admission fees

However, I felt a bit uneasy right from the ticket booth. I entered Monkey Forest, filled with doubts about whether this price difference was really necessary.

4. Monkeys you can see without paying an admission fee

 

Wild monkeys can easily be seen strutting along the paths surrounding Monkey Forest. I'd like to tell visitors entering the park that simply seeing the monkeys from outside is enough to satisfy their spirits.

The road leading to Monkey Forest is lined with shops selling tourist goods and clothing. The area is also crowded with people, and the wild monkeys that frequently appear in front of the forest are a particularly interesting sight for tourists.

Now that I think about it, I wonder, “Why did I go into Monkey Forest?”.

Every day my family comes in, the place is packed. It's a popular destination for both Indonesians and Westerners.

This place is owned by an Australian who truly loves burgers. Since it's made by an Australian who truly loves burgers, I was really curious about how it would taste.

So, I got a table with my family, waited for 35 minutes, and went inside. There was a very high percentage of Westerners there.

The prices are very honest: 35,000 rupees for one patty, 45,000 rupees for two patties, and 55,000 rupees for one patty.

If you go into a restaurant with a slightly nice atmosphere, a can of Coca-Cola will cost you 35,000 rupees, so it goes without saying that the price is reasonable.
