  • 8 hours of shaking train

The rooms are neatly organized compared to regular Vietnamese trains.

There are two trains to Sapa per day, so most people take the one that leaves at 10pm and arrives at Lao Cai Station at 6am the next day.

However, this train, which runs for a total of 8 hours, should not be taken lightly. Perhaps because the train is old, The shaking from side to side is so severe that it can cause motion sickness.am.

  • Shuttle bus from Lao Cai Station to Sapa

Hanoi Station 👉 You must be very tired because you couldn't sleep well due to the shaking from the train to Lao Cai Station.

Not only is the night train uncomfortable, but the anxiety of falling asleep and not being able to wake up early is also a concern. But that's not all. As soon as you get off at Lao Cai Station in a dazed state, you'll be greeted by touts.

Touts trying to get passengers on shuttle buses to SapaThis is quite a lot. Book a shuttle from Lao Cai Station to Sapa in advance on Klook. If you did, it would be fine, but if not, you'll have quite a headache figuring out how to proceed.

And it doesn't end with the shuttle bus to Sapa. This shuttle bus takes about an hour. Height reaching 1500mBecause you have to climb the mountain, you have to run nonstop on the winding mountain road.

If you're exhausted and tired from a long night, I'm sure you'll be practically knocked out on this shuttle bus. On your first day in Sapa, you'll be wanting to relax all day. Will do.

2. Altitude of Sapa

Sapa is 1,500 meters above sea level. Considering that Hallasan Mountain, the highest mountain in Korea, is around 1,900 meters high, Sapa's 1,500 meters is considered a considerable elevation.

Of course, it is not a huge mountainous area like La Paz, the capital of Bolivia, at 3600m, but those who are sensitive to altitude will feel the height.

사파-풍경
In Sapa, wherever you take your camera, it becomes a work of art.

Maybe it was because my wife also stayed up all night on a shaking train and then took a shuttle bus for an hour on a winding mountain road to get to Sapa. Sapa's altitude was difficult in a weakened state.

Even if a healthy person might not feel the pressure, those in a weakened state can easily feel fatigue. Those with weakened bodies or those who tire easily should consider visiting Sapa.

3. Transportation in Sapa

Sapa also has Grab, the app that dominates Southeast Asia. However, unlike other cities in Vietnam, Grab is difficult to book, making it difficult to find a ride.

Trolleys, a common sight in Sapa, resemble taxis, allowing customers to freely navigate in any direction they choose. Think of them as golf carts, used by many.

This trolley offers a tour around Sapa (30 minutes to 1 hour) when it is quiet, with negotiable prices. Instead, If you choose a less busy time and negotiate, you can get a much cheaper rate.do.

4. Sapa's Best Restaurants

“There are no good restaurants in Sapa.” There's a saying that Sapa doesn't have many restaurants where you can eat delicious food. In fact, most restaurants had better views than food.

During my trip to Sapa, I ate a total of eight meals at restaurants, and the number of meals I enjoyed was quite small. I'd like to briefly share some of the restaurants that were delicious or particularly impressive.

  • Lao Cai Station Restaurants

Rock Pizza

It is a very important station for taking the shuttle bus to Sapa and is a place visited by many people.

However, while there are many restaurants here that locals visit, there are fewer places for tourists to come and eat than you might think.

The name of the restaurant gives the impression of being a Western specialty restaurant because it has the word pizza in it, but in reality, it is a great place for rice noodles and fried rice.

  • Sapa Restaurants

a. Chicago Pizza

This restaurant is a great place for pizza lovers. It's like Sapa's "Kimbap Heaven" with a wide variety of dishes., Be sure to choose pizzaMust do.

If you don't like Sapa's food (Google Map) 📍[Western food with Chicago pizza]It's also a good idea to ventilate the area for a bit. The cheese on Chicago pizza was particularly special, and the regular pizza was pretty good too.

Of course, just because a place has a great view doesn't mean its food is also highly rated. However, White Cloud is a truly special place, with excellent drinks and food.

So it is very popular among Vietnamese people, and it goes without saying that it is also popular among tourists.

c.yummy

What is the most famous food in Sapa, Vietnam? I've been to many places, but the representative food of Sapa that I found is Coconut curryam.

That's why so many restaurants in Sapa offer coconut curry menus, but among them, this one is the best.silver 📍Right now [Yummy]can be selected.

5. Is Cat Cat Village a must-visit in Sapa?

The Mong people, a tribe living in Sapa, have lived in the village since the mid-19th century, and their traditions and culture remain intact.

With its green mountains, terraced rice fields, traditional wooden houses, and exotic scenery of country roads, Cat Cat Village is a must-see destination for all travelers to Sapa.

  • You can walk there

There are many ways to get to Cat Cat Village. However, since it's located further down the road from Sapa city center and not too far away, taking a Grab or motorbike isn't necessary.

There are quite a few people who walk along the trekking course while slowly enjoying the beautiful view. However, after finishing the tour of Cat Cat Village, I recommend a motorbike because it is uphill to get to Sapa city.Do it.

  • Observing minority groups

In fact, many bloggers and people who have visited this place may think, “There is no need to go to Cat Cat Village, which has been turned into a commercial district.”.

But if you could experience the life of a Vietnamese minority for just 150,000 VND (about 7,500 KRW), what would you choose?

길거리마다-물건들을-팔고있는-깟깟마을
The streets of Cat Cat Village have been transformed into stalls selling all kinds of Mong goods.

In reality, there were people renting out tribal folk costumes on every street, and various local specialties were lined up along the roadside, which made me feel uncomfortable, but I also felt like even that was part of their life.

I recommend going with your family or children, as you can observe the form of the old Mong houses, the livestock they raise, and even the actual houses. (Because there are stairs, strollers are not allowed.)

  • The beauty of nature

The natural beauty surrounding Cat Cat Village makes the trip even more special.

Because the scenery of Sapa is so fundamentally beautiful, the natural beauty that is integrated into their lives is an inseparable charm of Cat Cat Village.

Honest Review of Sapa Travel

I've been to many cities in Vietnam, but Sapa felt quite different. While it's a shame that even Sapa has been engulfed by the influence of capitalism, Sapa remains special.

In fact, there's no direct route to Sapa. It takes an early morning train from Hanoi, then a more than hour-long trek up a steep mountain pass. Despite this, Sapa is a place you'll definitely want to return to.

Vietnam Train Travel | (Nha Trang ➡ Hanoi) vs. (Hanoi ➡ Sapa) Comparative Experience Review

사파의-흔한-카페-풍경

Among the many ways to travel in Vietnam, train travel, which allows you to leisurely experience the beautiful Vietnamese landscape, is one of the country's most analogical charms. I'd like to share my experiences of two train journeys with you.

1. Train from Nha Trang to Hanoi

Train reservation sites and tickets

I searched the Internet to choose a train from Nha Trang to Hanoi, but I couldn't find any accurate information.

필자는 📍12GOI booked my train on a site run by a Singapore-based company called (I still wonder why I chose a Singapore-based company site to take a train to Vietnam.)

하지만, 직접 📍Vietnam train reservation siteThere is a way to go in and make a reservation, so I hope you use that method.

Once you've completed your reservation, you'll receive a QR code and a PDF file containing your train, cabin, and train schedule via the email address you provided. If you carefully examine your boarding pass (PDF file), you'll see detailed information about your boarding.

베트남-철도-온라인기차표

How to board

While waiting in the station waiting room, they made an announcement once in Vietnamese and once in English, but it was difficult to understand clearly.

In my desperation, I had to grab the station attendant and show them my ticket to check if the train was right for me every time it came. I also had to get help from the station attendant to find out which of the three or four platforms I should stop on, without any precise information.

Train condition

My first impression of the train we were to board was that it reminded me of the "Galaxy Express 999" I'd seen as a child. The train was so old and worn that it looked more like it was meant to transport coal or goods than people.

Selling meals and snacks

Because it is a train that takes such a long time, when it is time to eat, people come and go selling snacks and meals on a simple cart, similar to those that would have been used on the old Tongilho or Mugunghwaho trains in Korea.

Since most items sold here cost between 20,000 and 40,000 dong, it had the advantage of being able to be purchased without any burden.

While I'd seen other trains with dining cars, ours didn't. We were only allowed to wait for a cart to arrive at our seats, purchase food, and eat it at our seats.

Therefore, the wisest way to ride this train is to purchase 30 hours' worth of snacks and meals in advance.

2. Hanoi ➡ Train to Sapa

So, what about the train from Hanoi to Sapa? That might be the most up-to-date information. I've seen Koreans on other lines, but at least I didn't see any Koreans at the time I was leaving.

Train reservations and tickets

For this trip, I booked the train from Hanoi Station to Sapa through Klook.

If it had been a train-only course, such as from Nha Trang to Hanoi, I would have made a reservation directly through the railway, but I had to get off at Lao Cai Train Station and go further to Sapa, which is about 30km away.

When you book through Klook, you can even reserve a shuttle bus from Lao Cai Station to your hotel in Sapa. The driver will meet you at Lao Cai Station and you'll board the shuttle bus.

하노이역-2층의-탑승대기장소

There are three types of trains that go to Sapa and Lao Cai train station, and we decided to take VICSAPA.

Hanoi Train Station is surprisingly large, so you may get lost in where to wait, but for tickets to Vic Sapa Train Station, you can wait in the waiting room on the first floor that says "VIP Room.".

If you show your reservation email, the staff will exchange it for a train ticket and guide you to the train car, providing a friendly explanation, making it convenient.

Train condition to Sapa

I have already taken the Vietnam train from Nha Trang to Hanoi, so there are many comparisons to that train.

The train had the same feel, but the interior had been renovated and felt clean. When I entered the VIP 4-person sleeper car, there were snacks, water, wet tissues, a toothbrush, bananas, etc. prepared for me.

라오까이행-베트남기차의-vip침대칸-모습

These freebies may seem like nothing special, but they were enough to make me feel very comfortable and like I was riding the train as a VIP.

The bathroom was very clean, the interior of the sleeping car had lights so it felt warmer, and the bed mattress was much thicker than the one on the train to Hanoi, making it a more comfortable cabin.

Lao Cai Train Station Bus Transfer

Upon arrival at Lao Cai Train Station, you'll encounter a staff member standing at the station holding your name. The system will then take you to a shuttle bus that will drop you off at your hotel.

However, the shuttle bus driver delivered some surprising news on the way to Sapa. I had arrived on September 1st, but September 2nd was Vietnam's national holiday, meaning there would be a lot of police and visitors, and he wouldn't be able to drop me off at my hotel.

3. Pros and Cons of Two Train Travels

Train to Hanoi

  • Enjoy the beauty of nature unfolding for 30 hours
  • The train doesn't shake much
  • You can feel the authentic Vietnamese atmosphere in every corner of the train.
  • The train cabin is very comfortable
  • The toilets and facilities are very old and poor.

Train to Sapa

  • The train shakes a lot, which can cause motion sickness.
  • The facilities are clean and comfortable
  • Get off at Lao Cai Station and transfer to a shuttle or bus to get to Sapa.
  • Because I'm taking the train at night, I can't see the surroundings.

4. Opinions on Vietnam train travel

If there's one trip that best captures the essence of Vietnam, it's a train journey. The beautiful natural scenery and the historical train rides offer a glimpse into the lives of the Vietnamese people, a journey that embodies life itself.

천국같은-사파의-풍경

If you want to experience the real Vietnam, I recommend taking a train ride. It's one of the few opportunities you can have deep conversations with your family, surrounded by beautiful scenery, while holding your breath for over 30 hours.

Especially if you haven't been to Sapa, I highly recommend going when Vietnam is less busy.

Essential information for traveling by train in Vietnam with your family, as shared by a father in his 40s.

베트남-하노이행-기차여행

Planning a train trip from Nha Trang, Vietnam, to Hanoi? We'll share with you various information, including how to book tickets online, board the train, and the condition of the four-person sleeper car.

Traveling by train from Nha Trang to Hanoi

Train tickets from Nha Trang, a popular tourist destination for Koreans, to Hanoi in the north are available for reservation.

There are several sites where you can make reservations, the first of which is operated by a Singaporean company. 12GOSecondly, there is one that is directly operated in Vietnam. Railway reservation siteThere is.

👉 Book train tickets with KlookIt is most convenient to dodo.

📅 Nha Trang Hanoi Train Schedule and Prices

In my case, I booked my ticket through a website called 12GO, but later discovered it was operated by a Singaporean company. I had no problems booking my train ticket. We recommend booking directly on the Vietnam Railways reservation website.Do it.

When you reserve a ticket, you will receive a confirmation QR code and a PDF file containing information about the train you will be boarding via email. I will just go over a few things you must check on the ticket.

  • Confirm destination

Make sure to check if the route is Nha Trang ➡ Hanoi

  • Check train number

The "SE12" written behind "Train" is the train number. When you arrive at the train station and find it difficult to find any information about the train, knowing SE12, the arrival number, is essential.

  • Check train arrival time

You should check the arrival time of the train you need to board at the station, and you can check the car and seat number, so it is a good idea to be sure to familiarize yourself with the car, seat, and time.

(In my case, I often don't check my boarding pass until I get off the plane, but I always take a screenshot to confirm my seat!)

베트남-기차여행-기차표-QR코드

How to board the train at Nha Trang Station

This is the Nha Trang train station where I boarded. Since my train was scheduled for 4:26 AM, I took a Grab and arrived at the station around 4 AM.

The outside was brightly lit with flashy lights, but the inside felt like a small neighborhood bus stop I remember visiting when I was young.

베트남-나트랑-기차역-외경

Vietnam trains have recently introduced two-person VIP sleeper cabins, and the price of these cabins can be comparable to, or even more expensive than, a flight from Nha Trang to Hanoi.

Also, because there aren't enough seats, they tend to sell out quickly. The next level up is the four-person VIP sleeper car, and this is the train I rode.

나트랑-침대칸-VIP기차여행-4인실

Vietnam train travel 4-person sleeper compartment condition

It is hot during the day and cold at night or in the early morning. The cleanliness of the restrooms is absolutely not something you can expect, so if you think, "I can't do it without a clean environment or accommodation," choose a flight if possible. It is good to do so.

In particular, the distance from Nha Trang to Hanoi is 1,300 km, which is about three times the distance from Seoul to Busan, so it is a distance that can be reached in less than two hours by plane, but it takes a full day and five hours by train.

The Vietnam train journey takes about 30 hours, and frankly, it is difficult.

베트남-하노이-여행-기차칸-세면대-상태
The condition of the washbasin inside the train that I used morning and evening

The train I rode was SE12, and there was no dining car inside the train, only 4-person and 6-person cars, and no seats in the train car.

Sometimes, at large train stations, I pass another train, and judging by the dining car, it seems that some trains have different dining cars.

베트남-하노이-기차칸-복도통로

When arriving at a large station among the stations that stop at lunchtime, there are cases where the train stops for a long time, such as 10 minutes, as announced. During this time, you can get off the train for a short while and buy a light snack at a store near the station.

So, you must be very curious about how you manage to eat during those 30 hours.

Some people may remember selling steamed eggs or cider by walking between the seats on the Tongil-ho or Mugunghwa-ho trains when they were young. This is similar to the scene.

They also sell simple drinks, small banh mi, and small lunch boxes that look like mi goreng while pushing a cart, so you don't have to worry because you can buy them at a cheap price (most drinks are 20,000 VND, and lunch boxes are 40,000 VND).

The taste is not bad considering the price. It was.

Should I take the Nha Trang ⮕ Hanoi train trip?

If you choose a VIP sleeper car because you have to take a long train ride, the price is definitely not cheaper than that of an airplane.

Also, deciding to travel for over 30 hours and face a not-so-clean and pleasant restroom when you can get there in less than 2 hours by plane is not an easy decision.

However, you can enjoy the real beauty of Vietnam outside the window at any time, as much as you want. If you want to experience a truly offline trip where even 3G doesn't work well in many places, we welcome you with open arms. And I recommend it.

After experiencing these unforgettable 30 hours, I, too, found myself overwhelmed with gratitude for the easy access to Wi-Fi and readily available food and drinks. Isn't this what travel is all about? I wonder.

[Adolescent Son Verification] Singapore Family Trip: A Fail-Proof Restaurant/Menu List

If you are planning a trip to Singapore No wasted time A great restaurant Check out the list! My picky middle school sonThis 'let's go again' admitted Restaurants and MenusOnly the best have been selected. Family dining out without fail We reveal some tips for enjoying your trip to Singapore.

Must-eat restaurants for independent travelers in Singapore

Singapore is a multi-ethnic country, so it offers a truly diverse and varied cuisine. It's often called a "nation of gastronomy." However, the foods that suited my middle school-aged son's palate were different. He couldn't eat anything with a strong flavor or strong aroma.

so I've compiled a list of foods that suited my middle school son's taste. I think that means it will suit the taste of the average Korean. It will work.

(※ Please note that the numbers below are not rankings.)

1. Jumbo Seafood Chili Crab

Chili crab, which my son said was his favorite dish in Singapore, is also acknowledged by long-time locals as a 'must-eat food in Singapore'.

Dempsey Hill is a place where luxurious houses and shops are gathered, similar to Cheongdam-dong in Korea. Jumbo Seafood Restaurant, where you can taste chili crab and pepper crab, is located.I am doing it.

I've visited other Jumbo Seafood locations, but none of them have a better interior than this one. There are plenty of outdoor tables, too., Inside, a large fish tank fills one wall, making it feel like you're in an aquarium.gave it to me.

Maybe it's because it's located at Dempsey Hill? It's the perfect place to enjoy seafood and appetizers.

Now, finally, the main dishes: chili crab and pepper crab. The chili crab is red, so some people might be worried that it might be difficult to eat if they don't like spicy food, but don't worry.

It's not spicy at all, but rather sweet. If you prefer something a little more spicy, you can order the pepper crab. It has a peppery spiciness, so those who prefer a clean, refreshing spiciness will undoubtedly prefer the pepper crab.

2. Songfa Bak Kut Teh

Bak Kut Teh is a representative dish known as Singaporean cuisine. There are restaurants in Malaysia that sell bak kut teh, but the bak kut teh in Singapore is a bit different, so I highly recommend trying it.

The Songpa Bak Kut Teh I visited is a well-known chain restaurant with a sign that says 'Songpa Signature' located in the basement of Paragon Mall on Orchard Road, a shopping mall street.

Even though it was early for dinner, the restaurant was packed with people, a testament to how much Singaporeans love this dish.

The Songpa Bak Kut Teh near Chinatown, which I visited the other day, is a restaurant that is so well-known for its taste that I even had to wait in line too long to eat.

Singapore's bak kut teh is generally known for its clearer broth than Malaysia's, so you might imagine it's a bit bland, but in reality, it has a richer meat broth than our country's galbitang, making it feel nourishing.

A bowl of Songpa Bak Kut Teh costs between 10 and 15 Singapore dollars. It is made up of rice and is not served separately, so if you need it, you can add plain rice.

It generally suits the Korean palate well. I recommend Bak Kut Teh, Singapore's signature healthy dish, which is so popular that even my middle school son finds it very appealing, often bringing extended families for a meal.

3. Pepper Lunch Express

Actually, Pepper Lunch Express is not Singaporean food.

However, this is the restaurant my son frequents most when he craves Korean food in Singapore. The savory smell initially drew me in. It is located in Vivo City mall in Sentosa.

Of course, it's already seasoned with salt, but if you pour the accompanying soy sauce-based sauce over it and stir-fry it, you'll have a truly perfect dish. For those who enjoy stone pot fried rice, this flavor will perfectly complement their palates.

4.PS Cafe

PS Cafes are easy to find in Singapore. However, one of them, located on the second floor of Merlion Park, where many tourists flock to see the Merlion statue, is particularly special.

Enjoy the sea and beautiful surrounding buildings of Singapore together.Because you can.

5. Blanco Cot Fron Mi (Shrimp Noodles)

In the heart of Arab Street, one of Singapore's most famous tourist destinations, Haji Lane, lies a special restaurant.

This restaurant is arguably the most famous in Singapore, attracting a huge crowd. It's especially well-known among Koreans, making it a great place to meet many of them.

As the name of the restaurant suggests, shrimp noodles are the main menu here. Two types of shrimp noodles: shrimp noodles with broth and seasoned shrimp noodles without broth (slightly spicy). It is broadly divided into:.

And since it is divided into shrimp noodles with only shrimp and shrimp noodles with pork ribs, there are many different menus, and if you choose from the options above, you can easily decide how many times to order.

새우국수-메뉴판

There's also one more thing to choose: the type of cotton. There are white and yellow cotton, but if you don't say anything, they'll mix the two types half and half, and you can choose whichever cotton you prefer.

To order, say the number of the table you are sitting at and the number you have chosen. However, since card payment is not possible, you must prepare cash in advance.

새우국수와-함께-먹는-튀김류
You can add matching oden and fried food.

After ordering and paying for your shrimp noodles, it's time to choose the fried food right next to it. Many people enjoy fried food that pairs well with shrimp noodles, but I skipped the fried food in favor of eating more of the shrimp noodles!

And next to it, they're selling lemon juice, which pairs perfectly with shrimp noodles. It might not look all that appetizing, but it pairs even better with shrimp noodles than you might expect, so I recommend trying it.

싱가포르-원조-새우국수
The appearance of sturdy shrimp

This is the most basic shrimp noodle dish. The broth is It tastes like a luxurious shrimp noodle soup with a strong shrimp flavor. The shrimp are cut in half for easy eating and are plump and fresh.do.

There are jumbo and regular sizes, but jumbo noodles are noodles with larger shrimp than regular shrimp noodles.

매운-새우국수
For those who like spicy food, I also recommend the stir-fried noodles.

The photo above shows the shrimp seasoned noodles. Because it's spicy, it's a great dish for those who prefer seasoned noodles over soup. However, just as ordering jajangmyeon brings to mind jjambbong soup, ordering seasoned shrimp noodles will likely bring to mind the soup.

For those people If you order seasoned shrimp noodles, the soup is provided separately. So I thought I made the right choice by ordering the spicy shrimp noodles.

Singapore travel review

Singapore is a multi-ethnic nation, a melting pot of diverse cultures, and its cuisine is no exception. Consequently, there's a wide variety of food to choose from. However, don't assume that just because there's a wide variety of food, it will all suit the Korean palate.

The menus I've recommended today are ones that even those with sensitive palates and flavors can enjoy comfortably. That's what my son did.

A trip is more enjoyable and fulfilling when the food is right. I hope you have a wonderful time in Singapore, filled with delicious food.

Strait Garden Suite is a building located in Georgetown. Many of the buildings are used as Airbnb, and tourists frequently check in and out.

Although the name of this accommodation has the name Georgetown at the end, In fact, it's about a 10-minute drive from Georgetown.

2. Information about Georgetown, Penang

Penang is a small island in northern Malaysia. The reason why this island became famous is This is because Georgetown is a UNESCO World Heritage site and has preserved its old history very well.

Therefore, travelers should consider this when choosing accommodations, as it will be more economical and efficient to stay near Georgetown, which offers most of the attractions and activities.

페낭의-구글지도
Georgetown in Penang is part of the district.

The thing I regret most about staying in Penang was the distance. As someone who primarily visited Georgetown from Penang, I always had to spend a lot of time getting around.

It may have been possible because we stayed for a long time, For short-term travelers, it is best to consider staying as close to Georgetown as possible.

4. Episode about cockroaches

Malaysia has a lot of large cockroaches. Every accommodation has comments about cockroaches, and Koreans can be particularly sensitive to them. I asked the manager on my first day of check-in, but he assured me there were absolutely no cockroaches.

But on the 10th day, at dawn, I found a large cockroach scurrying around the living room, making a rustling sound in the middle of the room, and I fought it and won.

They said that a guy that big didn't live inside, but flew in from outside, and that it came down because they were cleaning upstairs, but anyway, I was surprised.

The Icon of Family Travel in Malaysia! Nasi Lemak: Local Restaurant/Price Guide (Honest Review from a Dad in His 40s)

헝그리보이-나시르막

Everything you need to know about Malaysia's iconic dish, nasi lemak. We've compiled the locations and average prices of hidden local restaurants in Kuala Lumpur (KL). I'll share my experience and the emotions I felt after eating nasi lemak (a dish I'm a father in his 40s).

1. What is Nasi Lemak?

In Nasi Lemak, 'Nasi' means rice and 'Lemak' means oil.

‘Because the rice in 'Nasi Lemak' is made with coconut milk, ‘Nasi lemak is the very definition of 'oily rice'.’Nasi lemak is easily found in Malaysia.

편의점에서-판매하는-나시르막
Nasi lemak sold at the bus terminal

I've found that Malaysian 'nasi lemak' has quite a variety of flavors, aromas and ingredients, with cucumber, peanuts, fried anchovies and sambal sauce being the standard ingredients.

You can buy nasi lemak wrapped in banana leaves at convenience stores, and many fancy restaurants even sell nasi lemak as a basic menu item. This food is considered Malaysia's 'national dish'.am.

2. Oriental Kopi

When traveling in Malaysia, it's perhaps natural to be curious about the country's signature dish, nasi lemak.

Of course, our family was curious about Nasi Lemak from the beginning and we also visited the tourists. ‘Nasi Lemak at Oriental Coffee’ The place that felt like a formula was Oriental Coffee.

말레이시아-맛집-오리안텔-코피의-입구
The entrance to Oriental Kopi, a Malaysian restaurant

This is because Oriental Kopi has so many reviews. In fact, if you wander around Kuala Lumpur, you'll see long lines like clouds waiting to get in.

My family and I tried nasi lemak at the popular Oriental Coffee. However, the results were disappointing.

오리엔탈-코피의-나시르막
The delicious-looking nasi lemak + chicken

I am the type of person who eats anything, but my wife and son are quite sensitive to taste and smell.

so '‘ Even the popular Oriental Coffee failed to challenge the nasi lemak, so the conclusion is that the nasi lemak in Malaysia does not suit our taste. I fell into the error of building it up.

However, I've heard from people who have settled in Malaysia that many travelers go through this process and avoid eating nasi lemak. However, this isn't actually true.

3. Hungry Boy

Introducing a delicious restaurant discovered in Penang, Malaysia.

This is a young and trendy restaurant, and despite its location on a less busy street, it attracts quite a few people. It is so popular that you have to wait in line to get a number around lunchtime.

페낭맛집-헝그리보이-외경
Hungry Boy's restaurant

The most popular menu items at Hungry Boy are the brunch menu and kaya toast, but I visited five out of seven days and tried everything on the menu.

Among them, the most surprising flavor was 'Nasi Lemak'. Because, unlike other nasi lemaks I've had before, it was the dish that made me forget that 'Nasi Lemak' didn't suit my family's taste.

헝그리보이-나시르막

Reflections on Nasi Lemak

There are probably a lot of Koreans who say that Malaysia's representative dish, nasi lemak, does not suit their taste.

This is because it is made up of a combination of foods that people either don't like or don't like, such as rice cooked in coconut milk, sambal sauce, fried anchovies, and peanuts.

However, there are plenty of nasi lemak options to suit your taste, so if you happen to find a restaurant that doesn't suit your taste, don't despair or get frustrated.

I visited the place so often that I just took the bagels home to eat when I couldn't go there to eat there in person. I think it would be good to think of it as a good value restaurant.

5 Essential Things to Know Before Visiting Kuala Lumpur's Batu Caves

바투동굴-내부

If you are traveling to Kuala Lumpur One of the must-visit places is Batu Caves. It is a sacred site for Hindus and a representative tourist attraction in Kuala Lumpur, boasting breathtaking natural beauty. Here are five essential facts you should know before visiting.

Things to know before going to Batu Caves

Batu Caves is a famous and familiar tourist destination that I chose as one of the places I wanted to visit the most during my 28-day trip to Kuala Lumpur.

There are actually a lot of things to prepare before visiting this place, but it's hard to find answers to specific questions I have, so I'd like to share some information about the questions I had.

Before reading this article, 아래 영상을 확인하시면 이해가 더 쉬워집니다.

1. What is Batu Cave?

Located 13km north of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia Batu Caves is a Hindu holy site and the most famous tourist attraction.is known as.

At the entrance of Batu Caves, there is a statue of Murugan (eldest son of Shiva, the god of destruction). There is a 42m tall statue, which is the tallest statue in the world. It is known as the 272 steps leading up to the cave to the left of the statue.

2. Is it a good idea to go on a Batu Caves tour?

The most searched website for people planning to visit Batu Caves is Klook. Batu Caves Touram. Sign up for the Batu Caves TourThis includes a pick-up service for a minimum of 2 people for 23,500 won and a car tour around Batu Caves.

If you've come all the way to Malaysia to travel, I recommend taking the Skytrain, which connects to the entrance of Batu Caves. You can catch it from anywhere in KL. It takes about 40 minutes to get to Batu Caves Station, costing approximately 3 ringgit per person. You can do it.

도심철도와-연결된-바투동굴입구
A passageway directly connecting Batu Caves to Batu Caves from the Batu Caves Station on the City Rail

If you get off at Batu Caves Station, you will be directly connected to the entrance of Batu Caves, so you don't have to worry about having to walk too much.

Also, it might be okay to do a tour around the area, but wouldn't it be better to go to another tourist destination at that time rather than near Batu Caves?

3. Wearing clothes (feat. No shorts?)

From the tourists' perspective, this is a tourist attraction, but for them, it is a sacred space, so they are very careful about what they wear.

However, for men, entry is permitted with the exception of shorts, and for women, it is recommended to wear long skirts or long pants rather than shorts.

But don't worry if you're wearing shorts in the hot Malaysian weather. Scarves are available for women wearing shorts at the entrance to the stairwell to cover their legs.

thus Men can wear shorts, women can borrow a scarf that is available for rent here.am. (Free admission)

4. The meaning of the 272 steps

There are a total of 272 steps leading up to Batu Caves, and the staircase is divided into three sections. It refers to the 272 sins that humans commit throughout their lives. It is known to do so.

Because the stairs are very narrow and the slope is steep, it can actually be a very difficult course for people with a fear of heights.

However, for the average adult, it is not difficult because of the stairs, but Malaysia Because the weather is hot and humid, you will sweat like rain while climbing up and down the mountain, so prepare cool water or a handkerchief in advance. It would be good if you did.

5. Wild monkeys & pigeons

  • wild monkey

From the entrance to Batu Caves to inside Batu Caves Wild monkeys are waiting to take your drink or food. You must keep your belongings safe and it is not recommended to go to Batu Caves with drinks or food.

Keep your belongings safe and avoid carrying water bottles or plastic bags. Angering the wild monkeys won't actually help you.

The monkeys and pigeons you see in the photo are only a very small number.
  • pigeon

Before entering the Batu Caves, there is a large open space like a park for tourists, where a huge number of pigeons gather and live off of snacks given to them by tourists.

thus If you have bird allergies or a phobia, we strongly recommend that you avoid the Batu Caves.Do it.

바투동굴-내부

Because you will see more pigeons on the way to Batu Caves than you will see in Korea.

Honest Review of Batu Caves

If you've heard that Batu Caves are located in the outskirts and it's hard to catch a taxi and you have to go on a tour, that's a blatant lie.

You can travel freely by subway, not on a tour. Batu Caves is a place where you can go for a round trip for 6 ringgit since the entrance fee is free.am.

It is not a very good memory because it is dirty and smelly as it is also a habitat for wild monkeys, but it is a must-visit tourist attraction for travelers who enjoy this kind of experience.

Recommended Airbnb accommodations in Kuala Lumpur for 46,000 won per night (reviews)

Trion@KL-숙소추천

Travelers who have researched accommodations in Malaysia, especially Kuala Lumpur (KL), may have a fear of cockroaches. However, I'm going to share my honest, self-funded reviews of the best value accommodations I've experienced up until early July 2024.

Airbnb Accommodation Basic Information

When planning a trip, some travelers only search for hotels. This is likely due to the abundance of reviews complaining about cockroaches in accommodations, particularly in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. However, Clean, affordable, and very attractive accommodations on AirbnbIt's overflowing.

Why we recommend this accommodation

Trion@KL offers a wealth of benefits, not just in price. Having lived here for 28 days, I've enjoyed it more than anyone else, and my family has been very satisfied. Let me share a few reasons why I recommend it.

1. Close to subway

In Malaysia, there is Grab, which is a cheap and convenient means of transportation. 👉[그랩과 고젝의 차이점 비교 글]을 확인하세요!

However, because Kuala Lumpur's CBD is so well-developed, accommodations close to a MRT station (about a 10-minute walk) are even more useful.

Walking to Chansourin Station

If you go by Grab, it will cost you around 20-30 ringgit, but for the same distance, The subway fare is 3-4 ringgit, which is much cheaper and more comfortable.Because it can be done, the presence or absence of a subway line can be a very important factor in choosing accommodation.

2. Own shuttle bus operation

Chan Sow Lin Station is about a 10-minute walk away, but it can feel very far and difficult to get to, especially with Kuala Lumpur's daytime weather making walking very challenging.

For those people Trion@KL operates its own shuttle busDo it.

A shuttle bus runs approximately every 20 minutes (not hourly), and the hotel is only a 5-minute walk from the subway station (Chan sow lin), making it easy to catch the city rail.

but, If you arrive late during peak hours, you may have to wait in line or wait for the next train to arrive.

3. Various convenience facilities and auxiliary facilities

  • 3 public pools

Trion@KL features a variety of amenities and facilities. The most striking thing is the three large POOLS. With three types of wide pools, including the widest pool, a children's pool, and a long pool, you can enjoy swimming comfortably at any time.

Occasionally, people are seen smoking in the rooms above the pool and carelessly throwing away cigarette butts, but other than that, it is clearly a very satisfactory public pool.

  • Various sports facilities

Travelers who enjoy basketball, badminton, gymnastics or table tennis can make full use of Trion@KL.

All sports facilities located on the 8th floor are available for use at any time, especially The gym, which has various equipment and treadmills, has a great view of the swimming pool and offers a variety of equipment. You can do it.

  • Utilize 1st floor security

Typically, security guards are on duty at the hotel's first-floor entrance, ensuring safety and security. For travelers who frequently order food delivery via Grab, this service is very convenient.

It's no exaggeration to say that the most important thing about traveling is finding a good restaurant nearby. Also crucial is having a place to buy water, drinks, and light snacks.

There are quite a few restaurants on the first floor of Trion@KL where you can eat Chinese, Indian, etc., especially Estelle Bagle, the famous restaurant that my family frequented the most It is one of them.

Additionally, on the first floor, there are convenience stores such as 7-Eleven (a famous convenience store brand), Top & Shop (a Chinese specialty market), and Speed 99 (a local Malaysian brand). Just one block away, you can also find a medium-sized market with a very local feel called W Market.

Check inside the accommodation

More important than any amenities or facilities is the condition of the accommodation. Cockroaches are a frequent and plentiful presence in accommodations in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, making this a crucial factor for some travelers.

Living room and convenience

The living room is in excellent condition. I was worried about cockroaches, but they never came out, and neither did ants. It has the advantage of having UHD TV and Netflix, and the large four-person table in the living room is a great place for the family to eat or study.

Not only the living room, but also both the master bedroom and the small bedroom are in excellent condition. Everything is clean and there are no bugs at all. At night, the fantastic city view created by the headlights and brake lights of numerous cars is also attractive.enemyam.

Toilet & Shower

Because Kuala Lumpur is an urban area, the water used in taps is not very clean in any accommodation. Therefore, the water quality is not suitable for brushing teeth or cooking. It is highly recommended that you purchase and use a shower filter.

The rest of the room was in excellent condition. The toilet flushed well and was clean, and the shower was comfortable to use. Overall, it was a good size, and I had no complaints during my 28 days of use.

With its reasonable prices, excellent value for money, and convenient access to various amenities, Trion@KL is a place I would recommend to any traveler. In fact, it almost feels luxurious.

As with many buildings built in Kuala Lumpur, the only downside is that there are times when an unpleasant smell comes from the sink or toilet.Other than that, I rate it as perfect.
