My family, all ENFPs, were traveling the world with my teenage son. We planned a long-term trip without any preparation. However, once we started, we discovered many inconveniences. So today, I'll list the top 10 things to prepare in advance when traveling with children.
Traveling abroad with children
I feel like raising a child in Korea means preparing to be separated from them early on. It's become difficult to see my son since he started fifth grade.
After going from one academy to another, I'd find myself exhausted and wouldn't get home until after dinnertime. So, I always dreamed of traveling abroad with my child.
As I spent a lot of time living, sleeping, and talking with my child over the past seven months, I was able to share many memories.
I'm grateful that I'm able to share stories I wouldn't normally be able to share, and I often feel glad I went on this trip. I encourage you to take a trip abroad with your child before it's too late.

1. Multi-outlet
These days, travelers bring a variety of electronic devices with them. Even when traveling abroad, those working abroad often need to charge their laptops, cell phones, tablets, or camera batteries.
So, when traveling abroad, where voltages differ from ours, we often have to buy a new outlet. But these days, with the convenience of a single multi-outlet, you can travel anywhere in the world without worrying about voltage.
I use The AD300 can be used conveniently in all places including the US, Hawaii, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Australia.I did it.

2. Cost-effective tablet PC
With children, it's incredibly convenient to have a tablet PC with you wherever you go. My son prepared for the high school equivalency exam through online lectures while traveling the world.
So, the tablet I chose was Xiaomi's Mi Pad model. I've always trusted and used Xiaomi products, so I heard about the Mi Pad by word of mouth and decided to give it a try.
Of course, it would have been better to buy an iPad instead of using an iPhone, I tried the Mi Pad and was once again amazed by its performance and value for money. It's a product without any flaws, so I highly recommend it.do.

3. Portable battery
One thing you'll use more when you travel is your cell phone. Your phone battery will drain quickly because you need to check your flight ticket, catch a Grab, and look at the map while walking around. What you absolutely need in such situations is a portable battery.
As cell phone battery capacities increase, smaller batteries face limitations in charging, and a minimum of 20,000 mAh seems necessary. Digitally recording the remaining capacity accurately makes it convenient to use.
- A portable battery is the next essential item after a cell phone.
- A sturdy capacity of a reasonable size
- Convenient because usage is recorded accurately

4. First aid kit
Traveling with children often requires this, especially when they have a severe headache or a sudden fever. While you can often find it at 7-Eleven stores throughout Southeast Asia, it's best to purchase it in advance, as it may be unavailable when absolutely necessary.
Since stomach aches often occur when food or water doesn't agree with your diet, it's a good idea to bring basic over-the-counter medications like antidiarrheals and digestive aids. I have high blood pressure, so I can get a prescription from the hospital in advance for up to six months. If you have a chronic condition, it's a good idea to check with your doctor in advance and prepare your medications.
- It is essential to prepare cold medicine, headache medicine, digestive medicine, etc. in advance.
- If you have medication that you take daily, consult with your doctor and you can receive up to 6 months' worth in advance.
- No advance records so far, except in Australia
5. Action cam camera
I travel with my family, so I want to remember every moment. Start YouTube (traveling)I did. It's still a long way to go, but I'm so happy, excited, and joyful that the memories I made with my family will remain in the form of video.
When traveling with family or children, there are moments you want to capture, even if it's not necessarily on YouTube. For those moments, the easiest and simplest way to capture them is with an action camera. I use the DJI Osmo Action 4 for YouTube videos. The best specifications for recording without detailed operations while travelingBecause it has .
- The best action cam for recording comfortably while traveling
- Approximately 6 hours of shooting with 3 batteries
- 📍However, MicroSD is purchased separately.Must do

6. SSD external hard drive
After carrying around an action cam for a few days, you'll realize the need for an external hard drive because the storage capacity will be quite large. An external HDD is not only a burden to carry around when traveling, but there's also the risk of losing all the files you've painstakingly shot. I recommend a lightweight and stable SSD external hard drive.do.
I've accumulated over five SSDs over the years, each one adding to my collection while traveling. But among them, there's one that's consistently reliable, lightweight, and something I use frequently. Today, I'd like to recommend the Samsung Electronics T5 SSD.
- Compared to external HDDs, it is more expensive, but it is much more stable and faster.
- It has a comfortable grip and is stable thanks to the shock-absorbing rubber pad.
- It is not bulky, so it is easy to carry around when traveling.

7. Travel pillow
We tend to take travel pillows lightly, but a good travel pillow can be incredibly comfortable, especially on uncomfortable airplane seats. For children who are sensitive to external environments and pressure differences, preparing a comfortable travel pillow in advance will make boarding the plane much more comfortable. It is better to prepare it in advance.
8. Goggles and swimsuit
Especially if you frequently travel to Southeast Asia or to accommodations with swimming pools, you'll definitely want to pack children's swimsuits and goggles. We recommend purchasing in advance to ensure you choose the perfect fit for your child's tastes.do.
My son loves table tennis, so he carries a paddle and ball with him.
9. Tumbler
Tumblers are heavier than you might think, and while you might wonder if they're really necessary, they can be a bit of a burden to pack when traveling. However, considering the planet and the constant need to buy disposable cups and plastic, they're definitely a very useful item if you prepare in advance.
Providing a small tumbler that can be easily attached to children's suitcases or small bags can be a huge help in reducing disposable products.
10. Travel carrier
I've seen a lot of families giving their children electric carriers as gifts lately. Some people ask, "Why buy a heavy electric carrier when it can't even hold much?" But I feel like it's more about the children's playtime than the actual function of the carrier.
I also buy them for my children, who struggle to move around not only at the airport but also in large shopping malls. Having their own portable carrier, which can introduce them to the joys of travel, seems like a pretty good choice for them.
