I've lived in Eunpyeong-gu for over 15 years now. As a foodie, I always find myself visiting some of the best restaurants in Eunpyeong-gu, but they're often overlooked by outsiders. Today, I'm going to share my top three picks. They're not only delicious but also incredibly value-for-money, so I recommend visiting them solo or with a loved one.
Eunpyeong-gu's Top 3 Authentic Restaurants
Are there any who might be wondering, "If it's a truly delicious restaurant, why would you need to reveal it?" Of course. The three restaurants I'm about to reveal are already beloved by many Eunpyeong-gu residents. At lunchtime, they're so crowded that it's hard to even find a seat.
These places are too good to be known only to Eunpyeong-gu residents, so I'm sharing their information with those living outside the area. I wholeheartedly recommend them, so if you ever find yourself in Eunpyeong-gu, be sure to stop by!
1. When you crave fish, try 'Tuna Anan'‘
Tuna Aenan is a hidden gem, located right in front of Eunpyeong-gu Office. Numerous Eunpyeong-gu office workers frequent this restaurant, making it always bustling around lunchtime.
While countless restaurants cater to these diners every lunchtime, few can match Tuna Anan's taste and price. Therefore, we recommend avoiding the lunch rush, between noon and 1 p.m.

My favorite dishes here are the Al-tang (9,000 won) or the Al-bap (8,000 won). The prices are very reasonable, and the other dishes are all delicious, so it's heaven, especially for fish lovers.

I love egg soup, so I've tried it many times at other places, but I've never been able to find a place with as much roe as this one, and the portions are so satisfying. Of course, the taste is excellent, and the six side dishes served with every dish don't feel forced; they convey the taste of careful preparation.
If you're near Eunpyeong-gu Office, be sure to stop by. You won't regret it.
- Address: 106, 1st floor, 206 Nokbeon-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul
- Business hours: 10 am – 10 pm
- All-you-can-eat tuna menu available from 4pm onwards
2. When you crave noodles, try 'anchovy noodles'‘
Anchovy noodle soup is so famous that it's probably familiar to everyone living in Eungam-dong or Nokbeon-dong. It's a popular dish that anyone who craves hot kalguksu or has fond memories of anchovy noodle soup will love.
This is a restaurant I frequent often because the prices are reasonable, so I can drop by and grab a quick meal without feeling burdened. It's especially great because you can order a large portion for any menu item and get a full portion for the full price. As someone who's a big eater, I find this place perfect.

Located on the second floor of the building right next to E-Mart Eunpyeong, the restaurant offers elevator access, making it convenient for wheelchairs and strollers. The interior is quite spacious, so you can always find a seat without waiting.
My favorite dishes here are bibim guksu and seafood kalguksu. Bibim guksu, reminiscent of mom's cooking, is a dish that always whets my appetite, summer or winter.

Next, the must-try menu is seafood kalguksu. With a single bite of the kalguksu and kimchi in a hot, rich broth, the cold will vanish in a flash.
Danmuji and kimchi are self-serve, so you can take as much as you want. In these difficult economic times, it's a shame to waste food, so I recommend only taking as much as you'll eat and not leaving any behind!

- Address: 119 Eunpyeong-ro, Eungam 1-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul
- Business hours: 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM
3. When you think of national health food, think of Hadong Ureongchueotang‘
Chueotang (spicy fish stew) is a nutritious dish that's perfect for any season. Hadong Ureong Chueotang is a chain restaurant, but its flavor is far superior to that of more recently opened chueotang restaurants, making it a popular choice for many.
This restaurant is especially popular with families, and its menu is a favorite among seniors who need to stay healthy. A special highlight of this restaurant is the stone pot rice served with the chueotang (fish stew). The stone pot, served with fresh kimchi, is exquisite.

Sometimes, when eating chueotang, I find the feeling of loach liver chunks bothering me, but this one had none, and the broth was thick, so I was able to enjoy it without any resistance. And for those who can't eat chueotang, we also have other menu items available, so you can enjoy them with ease.
If you're looking for a place to dine with your elders, why not visit this place? The accompanying oysters will surely bring back fond memories, making for a precious time.

In closing
