오랜만에 서울을 찾은 어머니, 동생과 함께 망원시장을 방문하면서 꼭 이곳 커피를 맛보여 드려야겠다는 마음으로 ‘블루레이크’로 왔습니다. 이곳 커피가 유명하다는 이야기를 전부터 들었기 때문에 커피맛과 분위기를 직접 느껴보고 싶었습니다. 오늘 딥블루레이크 카페의 찐 후기, 지금 출발합니다.
망원시장 | 공영주차장 입구의 파란 건물
이곳은 망원시장의 출입구 중 하나인 공영주차장 바로 맞은편 입구에 위치하고 있습니다. 그래서 망원시장이 붐비는 주말에 이곳을 차로 이동하려고 하면 상당히 막히고 오래 걸립니다.
그래서 한가한 시간, 대중교통으로 이용하시기를 추천드립니다.
평범한 주택가 골목에 파랗게 자리잡은 딥블루레이크 카페의 모습입니다. 총 3층으로 이루어져있는데, 건물 전체가 카페 이름처럼 파래서 멀리서도 이곳을 찾을 수 있습니다.
외경이 참 예쁘죠? 그런데 내부는 더 예쁩니다. 함께 내부로 들어가 보실까요?
하늘색 톤의 내부 인테리어
반지하 형태의 출입문으로 들어오면 향긋한 커피볶는 향기와 함께 카운터가 나옵니다. 3층까지 자리가 있지만, 쾌적한 테이블 배치와 공간활용으로, 생각보다 많은 사람들이 들어가지 못합니다.
그래서 늘 붐비는 이곳에서 커피를 즐기려면 미리 올라가 자리를 확보한 후, 주문해야 합니다.
빠르게 올라가 3층에 위치한 굉장히 마음에 드는 자리를 확보했습니다. 건물 내부는 전체적으로 하얀 톤이며 소품과 그림들로 하늘색 포인트를 준 모습이 깔끔했고 외부의 모습과 일관된 느낌을 주었습니다.
물론 카페 이름이 딥블루레이크이기 때문에 파란색 톤으로 꾸민 것이지만 깔끔하고 깨끗한 이미지를 주었습니다.
창가로 들어오는 햇살과 하얀색 벽, 그리고 파란색이 잘 어울립니다. 마치 산토리니에 와있는 느낌(?)이랄까요? 암튼 마음에 듭니다. 이제 커피를 주문하러 가야겠습니다.
이렇게 유명하다고 소문난 곳, 그리고 인테리어에 공들인 카페에서 먹는 커피는 얼마나 할까? 아주 궁금했습니다.
음료를 주문하면서 각종 원두를 구입할 수도 있습니다. 다행히 예상했던 것보다는 말도 안되는 금액이 아니네요. 편안하게 커피를 주문했습니다. 저희는 5명이 방문했기 때문에 다양한 메뉴를 주문했습니다.
특히 아메리카노는 원두를 선택할 수 있습니다. 산미가 있는 커피, 달콤한 커피. 커피를 좋아하는 분들은 산미 있는 커피를 매우 고급커피라고 생각하시든데, 저와는 맞지 않는 것 같습니다.
순서대로 연한 라떼(샷이 덜 들어간 커피를 따로 저렇게 함께 준다), 100% 착즙한 오렌지 주스, 일반 아메리카노(산미X), 바닐라라떼, 산미 있는 아메리카노 이렇게 총 5잔을 주문했습니다.
모두 맛을 본 결과, 이곳에서는 라떼류를 먹는 것을 추천드립니다.
제가 라떼를 좋아해서 그런지 모르겠지만, 아메리카노는 다른 곳과 크게 맛있다는 느낌을 받지 못했지만 라떼는 눈이 번쩍 뜨일만큼의 차이가 느껴졌기 때문입니다. 라떼 좋아하시는 분들에게는 천상의 맛을 느끼실 수 있을 것입니다.

I ordered the Yangnyeom Chicken by the whole chicken because I really like the whole chicken menu, but I ordered the Kekekeke Chicken with the wing set, which my family wanted. That caused the price to go up to 23,500 won. The regular Kekekeke Chicken is 20,900 won.
To be honest, the taste of the Kkkkk Chicken wasn't all that special. The crunchy powder sprinkled on top of the fried chicken added a little fun, but it wasn't that great.
But the three sauces that came with it were special. The top one was garlic sauce, the middle one was corn sauce, and the bottom one was hot sauce with a spicy flavor.
Among them, the garlic sauce on the top is a sauce that further enhances the crispy and mild flavor of the Kekekeke Chicken. The three of us ate both chickens, and it was a sauce that went so well with the Kekekeke Chicken that we wanted to order more garlic sauce.
The second corn sauce didn't have much of a special flavor, so it was the least appealing, and the last hot sauce was a flavor specifically for those who enjoy spicy food.
Perhaps the addition of that distinctive "foreign smell" that often comes from Mexican food creates an attractive spicy flavor.
