Traveling in Bali, you'll find yourself craving spicy and salty Korean food. Whenever you feel that way, there's always a place you'll find yourself drawn to: Mugunghwa Distribution in Kuta. The first floor is filled with Korean products and ready-to-eat meals, while the second floor houses a Korean restaurant.

Mugunghwa Distribution Information

In May 2024, we spent a month living in Bali with our family. During our final week, we found ourselves missing Korea terribly. It's already been three weeks since we started our trip, so how much will we miss Korea during the rest of our stay? (Traveling the world with family)

There is a place I want to go every time, and it is located in the Kuta area. Mugunghwa DistributionThis place, which I stumbled upon by chance, has a Korean owner. There's a Korean grocery store on the first floor, and a Korean restaurant on the second.

The interior is surprisingly spacious. Because Mugunghwa Distribution primarily sells Korean products, each corner offers a wide variety of items, including vegetables, frozen foods, instant coffee, and instant food.

Upon entering the Mugunghwa Distribution Center, there was a photo of BTS, a singer at the center of K-pop, the pride of Korea, welcoming customers with a bright smile.

I liked it because just seeing them smiling brightly and welcoming me made me feel like I was in Korea. Above is I love you!! KoreaIt's been a while since I've seen it written in Korean, which makes me even happier.

Now that you've seen the photos you absolutely must see at Mugunghwa Distribution, let's take a look at the items.

We sell coffee mixes that come to mind when you're tired overseas, familiar snacks like Korean corn, Jjanggu, and Jochung Yugwa, as well as ramen, and the white rice that you always feel is lacking when you come to Bali.

한국제품들
It was like 'heaven' for our family who was traveling outside of Korea.

Among them, there were some that made me think, "Is this thing here?". The first item is the shower filter. It was. In fact, one of the main reasons we came here was because the Kuta area is famous for having poor tap water.

The shower filter I bought in Korea had turned black, so I needed a new one. I searched all over Bali, but I couldn't find one anywhere.

By the way, Mugunghwa Distribution had shower filters. It was so amazing. The price of shower filters is 100,000 rupees! and Another one is a fly swatterMy accommodation was in Kuta, and there were a lot of mosquitoes because there was a pond nearby.

At first, I thought, 'If there are a lot of mosquitoes, I can just catch them,' but Bali mosquitoes are small and fast, so I needed a fly swatter.

The second floor is a restaurant serving K-food. Living in Bali, I really miss Korean food, and knowing that Mugunghwa Distribution is always available brings me great comfort. Let's take a look at what's on the menu.

The K-food craze is blowing in Bali as well.

The second floor had a clean white backdrop and plenty of tables. Since I visited around lunchtime, there were quite a few people, and a particularly large portion of them were Korean.

It seems like there are quite a few Koreans in Bali who miss Korean food, and I feel very proud to see Indonesians enjoying K-food.

ramen

When you order food, they serve basic side dishes (kimchi, pancake, and stir-fried fish cake). Just the side dishes alone make you feel like you're back in Korea. The kimchi and pancake flavors are so unique, you'll never find them in Bali. (The stir-fried fish cake was just so-so.)

The ramen topped with green onions felt like it completely cleared out my clogged stomach. Ramen is always delicious, no matter where you eat it. I highly recommend it!

tteokbokki

I couldn't resist trying tteokbokki, my wife's favorite food. The appearance and color are appealing and mouthwatering, but the taste is just... I recommend other dishes, but if even just something resembling tteokbokki is comforting, then order it!

Tteokbokki, the representative Korean food, can be tasted here.

kimbap

Kimbap is my soul food. It's a dish I love so much that I'd replace any meal with it in Korea. I never imagined I'd be able to eat it in Bali, so I was simply grateful.

The kimbap looks quite appetizing, but the unidentifiable pink radish makes it a bit odd. Nevertheless, the combination of the vegetables and rice is fantastic. I highly recommend the kimbap.

The radish is pink, but it still tastes good.

Honest review, made with my own money

I was so grateful to Mugunghwa Distribution for being able to find Korean products and food in Bali. That's because the Korean food available in Bali is often disappointing.

However, it's a place that makes me love Bali even more, a place so precious to our family. If you ever visit Bali and miss Korea or feel a hankering for Korean food, be sure to visit!

Traveling the World with My Teenage Son | D+27 Surfing at Kuta Beach, Bali

꾸따해변을-바라보는-두-사람

I'm currently traveling the world with my middle school son, and we're currently on our 27th day in Bali, Indonesia. Today, I went surfing at Kuta Beach, Bali's most popular tourist destination. Can we truly enjoy this 365-day journey?

Kuta Beach 27 Surf School

One of the most popular activities in Bali is surfing school.

While walking along Kuta Beach, I was approached by about 20 people from a surfing school. Today, I visited the place I visited last time., Book at 27 Surf School, the most visited school by KoreansDid.

27서프스쿨-서핑보드

Although I was so sore from the last surf that I couldn't join him, my son really wanted to surf, so we decided to go surfing today even though the waves were unusually high.

(Just looking at it makes my dad's legs tremble) I feel it again, but surfing is truly a sport for young people. It requires a lot more courage and stamina than you might think.

If you are someone who has been doing squats or exercising regularly, the story is different, but if you have only worked and your specialty is breathing exercises, surfing is definitely not an easy sport.

% Arabica coffee to blow away travel fatigue

My wife, a coffee lover who says she must drink at least one cup of coffee a day to avoid headaches, said that this is her favorite coffee in Bali. Yes, coffee (Arabica % coffee)am.

I've heard there's a similar coffee shop somewhere in Gangnam, Korea, but I haven't been there. However, located right on the hot and humid Kuta Beach, it's definitely more popular than the Starbucks next door.

Restaurants and coffee shops frequented by Koreans are guaranteed to be cleaner and tastier than any other establishment. Arabica % Coffee is the place where you'll most likely find Koreans.

My wife's favorite Spanish Café LatteIt looks exactly like a regular latte, but it has a sweet aftertaste and a unique flavor, making it one of the coffees that many people love.

In Indonesian Rupiah prices IDR 65,000Even though it is not that cheap, people still have to wait in line every hour every day to drink it.

Fat Tony, an authentic burger restaurant run by an Australian owner‘

It's a burger restaurant called 'Pettoni' located right across from the entrance of the hotel I'm staying at in Legian, Bali.

Every day my family comes in, the place is packed. It's a popular destination for both Indonesians and Westerners.

Pat Tony Burger, a famous Bali burger restaurant

This place is owned by an Australian who truly loves burgers. Since it's made by an Australian who truly loves burgers, I was really curious about how it would taste.

So, I got a table with my family, waited for 35 minutes, and went inside. There was a very high percentage of Westerners there.

더블패티의-팻토니버거
Pat Tony's burger that still makes my mouth water

The prices are very honest: 35,000 rupees for one patty, 45,000 rupees for two patties, and 55,000 rupees for one patty.

If you go into a restaurant with a slightly nice atmosphere, a can of Coca-Cola will cost you 35,000 rupees, so it goes without saying that the price is reasonable.

My son whines every day about eating a three-patty burger until the day he leaves. It's currently 4:00 PM. Now, as soon as I finish this post, I have to go to Pat Tony's for a burger.

I'm happy traveling the world with my son and wife.

Living in Bali for a month

Our family is traveling the world, and the first country we live in is Bali, Indonesia.

My wife, who has hated bugs since Korea, is gradually getting used to ants, and I smile as I watch my son comfortably relieve himself in a public restroom where there are cockroaches.

It's been 30 days since we started our journey. I'm excited to see how we'll grow as time goes by. This is the story of our family's clumsy, inadequate, and unplanned travels. 🎥YouTube channel TravelingYou can check it out at .
