1. Why Bali is the best place to live with your family for a month

Spending a month with family requires far more than traveling alone. Indeed, spending a month in Bali really made me realize why it's the best travel destination.

then Now, let's find out why living in Bali with your family for a month is the best.

  • delicacy

Bali, a popular vacation destination for people from all over the world, offers a wealth of delicious food from all over the world.

Indonesia From Bali's signature dishes, Nasi Goreng and Mee Goreng, to pizza, spaghetti, Thai food, and even Korean food. There are so many delicious restaurants that there is almost nothing that is not there.

Among the many areas of Bali, Ubud in particular is a place where, to put it mildly, every other restaurant is a gourmet restaurant. And it's not just imitations; there are plenty of dishes that truly capture the authentic flavors of local cuisine.

One of my favorite restaurants and frequented by many is a handmade burger joint called Pat Tony. Apparently, Pat Tony was opened by an Australian who loved Bali and insisted on serving authentic local cuisine.

The most important thing when traveling is food. It's not easy to live in a place where the food doesn't suit your taste, but this is the case. Bali is a perfect destination for a family trip, with its abundance of delicious restaurants.am.

  • exotic culture

Who among us, living in the heart of Korea, would dream of traveling to a place not so different from Korea? Probably not many.

In a culture completely different from Korea To experience an environment I have never felt before, a place that inspires my undifferentiated thoughts and stimulates my imagination, that place is Bali.I think so.

Just stepping outside your accommodation, you'll immediately feel the Hindu culture of many Balinese. Wherever you go, you'll experience not only the culture of the Indonesian people, but also their hospitality.

If you want to find healing and inspiration amidst the beauty of nature, we recommend Bali, the "Island of the Gods."Do it.

  • low prices

At the current exchange rate, 10,000 rupees is about 844 won, and it is generally listed on the price tag. If you subtract one '0' from the rupiah, you can calculate it in Korean Won. For example, 20,000 rupees is calculated as 2,000 won.

Because in general, the price in a typical restaurant in Bali is 16%, including service charge (6%) and tax (10%), so the calculation above is generally correct.

Because the entire island is a tourist destination, Bali is a country where you can purchase special Bali-related tourist products almost anywhere. If you're looking to buy souvenirs after your Bali trip, where should you go?

This question brings to mind three places. I'll introduce their locations, prices, and what you might want to buy.

Seminyak Bintang Market

The first place I would like to recommend is located in Seminyak. Bintan SupermarketHere it is. There is another Bintang Market in the Hayam Wuruk area, but the Bintang Market in Seminyak is larger and more centrally located, making it much easier to get to.

Seminyak Bintang Market Review

Bali's Bintang Market is well known and famous, but since you can't know the specific pros and cons without going there yourself, I'll introduce the pros and cons of Bintang Market Seminyak branch, as well as my review, based on my own experience.

Contrary to expectations, the interior is very large and stylishly decorated.
  • The price is cheap

I lived in Bali for a month and visited most of the markets and shopping malls from Nusa Dua to Tegalalang in Ubud, and the prices were so cheap that I wondered, "Can you find a cheaper place than here?".

빈땅마켓에서-판매하는-키링
Really cheap souvenirs and traditional crafts

True to its name, Bintang beer prices are lower than those of any other local market. I also buy a lot of souvenirs for friends after my Bali trip, and even these are cheaper than bargaining at any other market.

Instead of wandering around multiple markets and wasting energy haggling over souvenirs, I think buying them at Bintang Market is the most reasonable and wisest option. The variety of souvenirs is also great.

Of course, it's not just about souvenirs, it's also a two-story store with coffee, daily necessities, honey, key rings, wooden dolls, fruits, and vegetables, so the items are too numerous to mention.

빈땅마켓의-넓은-매장
As it is Bali's representative market, it is also large in scale.
  • Easy accessibility

Seminyak, where Bintang Market is located, is the center of Bali and is a place where many tourists visit every year due to its concentration of luxurious shops, hotels, and resorts.

So, before going to Ngurah Rai Airport, it is very convenient to stop by the nearby Seminyak Bintang Market to buy souvenirs.

The road in front of Bintang Market is a two-lane road that goes both ways. A place where traffic congestion occurs frequently because it is very narrow compared to the number of vehicles. So, it's good to always be aware of this advantage. (It's not something to worry about too much, as it doesn't feel like it's being pushed around in Korea.)

Ubud Art Market

This is a representative traditional market in Ubud. Located in the heart of Ubud, across from the Ubud Royal Palace, it's a popular destination for tourists visiting the palace.

When I visited Ubud Market on my honeymoon in 2010, it was just a typical traditional market, but in the meantime, the market burned down and was rebuilt into its current magnificent appearance.

The Ubud Art Market, reborn as a massive building resembling a grand palace, may seem unfamiliar, but it nonetheless attracts a huge number of tourists. (The Ubud Market I visited on my honeymoon wasn't like this.)

Ubud Art Market Reviews

  • Various souvenirs

A place that sells all the souvenirs and items you can think of from BaliHere, you'll find everything from fans and silverware to wooden dolls, handkerchiefs, wood carvings, bowls, and bracelets. The entire second floor of the two massive buildings is dedicated to souvenir shopping.

  • The fun of bargaining

Since there are no set prices, you can negotiate prices. If you are good at bargaining, I recommend visiting the Ubud Art Market.

So if you are someone who doesn't like to haggle over prices and just pays what is quoted, A place where you can buy at a higher price than usualThat's it.

  • Traditional market across the street

Across from the massive Ubud Art Market, there's an alleyway that still retains the atmosphere of the old Ubud Market. Naturally, tourists tend to flock to the market inside the large building, making for a very leisurely shopping experience.

Since there are relatively few floating populations and fewer tourists, you can buy souvenirs and other items at cheaper prices if you are good at bargaining.

Things to keep in mind when visiting the Ubud Art Market

First, the bathroom is very dirty.

Because it's such a popular tourist destination, it's so dirty that Koreans often avoid using it. The poorly maintained restrooms are prone to foul odors and filth, making them unusable.

Be sure to use the hotel bathroom before your visit. (My wife went in to use it but just came out😱)

Second, it's very hot.

The Ubud Art Market is housed in a massive building, restored to its original traditional appearance, but it's completely open, with no doors. It's practically like being outdoors in the shade (though you'll sweat profusely even inside).

However, since there are so many people crowded together, you can see that even if you turn on the ceiling fan, you will sweat a lot.

The range of choices is so wide that even if you don't buy anything in particular, just walking around the Bali Collection can be a very enjoyable trip.

  • It's expensive

Overall, things are more expensive than typical Balinese prices. Not only things, but even the food at the numerous restaurants can feel expensive.

Honest reviews of shopping malls and markets

Bali boasts a wide variety of shopping malls. Whether you're looking at Discovery Mall, Mall Bali Galleria, Sidewalk, Beachwalk, or Seminyak Square, you'll find that they all offer similar shopping experiences.

The only difference is the presence or absence of certain stores, but the three shopping malls and markets mentioned above have a significant difference from the other shopping malls mentioned above, and they have their own unique and distinctive charm.

Whether it's a good thing or a bad thing, what travelers remember is what makes a place special, right?
